Grey flint, appearing brown under transmitted light, with cortex; borer. A small nodule with one rounded end with thick cortex retained, and long narrow parallel flakes struck from its dorsal surface. The ventral surface is smooth and concave; the appearance of retouch executed from the ventral aspect is misleading, and arises from fortuitous edge-on impacts. The finder kindly cites SUR-42CD37 as a parallel. Suggested date: Late Mesolithic, 7000-4000 BC
