A complete post-Medieval silver threepence of Elizabeth I (1558-1603), minted at London. Initial marks: pheon/pheon, dated 1562 on coin (North 1991: 135, ref: 1998).

Obverse: ELIZABETH.D.G.ANG FRA.ET.HI.REGINA; Crowned bust left with a rose behind the head.

Reverse: POSVI/DEV.AD/IVTORE/M:MEV. (I have made God my Helper); Square shield on long cross fourchée dividing the inscription with date of 1562 above shield.

Diameter: 19.4mm. Weight: 1.99g. DA=12:12.
