Copper alloy rivet. A cylindrical rivet with an expanded flat head at one end and flattened and burred at the other, where it passes through a circular rove or washer. This secured the object to leather, of which degraded fragments remain preserved between head and rove. Its survival may point to a relatively recent date. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1800-1900
