An incomplete copper alloy Iron Age or Roman La Tene III type brooch dating to the period c. AD 20 - 100. The spring consists of two loops and terminates in an old break at the point at which the third coil would have projected into the pin. The bow tapers along its length from the head to the foot and is lozenge form in section. The top to the middle of the bow is decorated in short horizontal incised lines, the foot is undecorated. The remains of the catch plate extends from the reverse of the foot.
