A silver denarius of Hadrian (AD 117 - 138) dating from AD 126 (Reece Period 6). COS III reverse type depicting Minerva standing left, feet close together, holding transverse spear pointed downward & round shield decorated with a Gorgon's head. Mint of Rome. RIC II, number 154. Sear Volume II, number 3469.

The coin is 18.8mm in diameter, 2.3mm thick and weighs 2.36g.
