Copper alloy strap or harness slider or mount. Sub-rectangular shape with shallow double-scalloped sides and curved ends. The reverse has a single tapered prong at each end. Both prongs extend perpendicularly (10.8mm) and then turn back along the body at right angles to create a rectangular loop. The front face is decorated with a medial row of overlapping punched half-circles with central annulets. The central design is bordered along both sides by close-punched rows of annulets. The front face has extensive remains of gilding. Cf NMS-A34A43 and IOW-4A5357. Circa AD 1600- 1700.
