A complete post-Medieval silver threepence of Elizabeth I (1558-1603), minted at London. Initial marks: long cross/long cross, dated 1580 on coin (North 1991: 135, ref: 1998).

Obverse: ELIZABETH:D.G.ANG.FR.ET.HI.REGINA; Crowned bust left with a rose behind the head.

Reverse: POSVI/DEV.AD/IVTORE/M.MEV. (I have made God my Helper); Square shield on long cross fourchée dividing the inscription with date of 1580 above shield.

Diameter: 18.6mm. Weight: 1.45g. DA=12:2.
