Head and Neck of a Statue/ Tobacco Holder. The head is 3-dimensional and is hollow. The head is of a woman with African likeness. Facial features can be seen quite clearly, and hair and a patterned head scarf is also visible. The head has clearly been broken off something, possibly the rest of the body, or it may have been used as a tobacco holder ornamental lid. Despite being incomplete the head is in good condition and the features are easily recognised. There is some corrosion and some 'bubble' marks which may have been due to manufacturing process. There are a few faint red marks on the reverse of the head, but it is unsure whether it is paint or just accidental. The object weighs 27.2g and is approximately 30mm long and 17mm in width.
