Large copper alloy double loop asymmetrical buckle. One outside loop is rounded on its end whilst the other has two cusps from either side that meet in the middle giving a scalloped edge. Both outside edges have a grooved border with the curved loop having twin oblique lines forming a central inward pointing chevron. Whitehead, R. Buckles 1250-1800 p.91 No.572 illustrates an almost identical example. Circa AD1575-1700.
