A cast and incomplete copper-alloy object of late Iron age date, possibly a fitting from a tankard.

Description: The strap distributor is trilobate with two paired rings and a third perpendicular to the pair. each ring is an exaggerated D-Shape in cross-section. The lower perpendicular ring has a shank projecting downwards with some flaring towards the base where it is broken and worn. It is patinated dark green with some chunks out of the lower ring.

Measurements: 32.2mm high, 25.98mm wide, 13.39mm thick and 12.08g in weight.

Discussion: While clearly of late Iron Age in form the exact ID of this object is uncertain, it bares some relationship to tankard fittings but also Iron Age strap fittings.
