A Post Medieval silver coin, a three pence of Elizabeth I (AD 1558 - 1603), probably second issue (AD 1561 - 1582), initial mark probably sword (AD 1581 - 1583), dated 1582 or 1583. Mint of London. See North (1991) Volume 2, number 1998 on page 135.It weighs 1.37 g. It is 17.76 mm in diameter and 0.8mm thick. The coin is bent into an S shape which may suggest it was reused as a love token.
