Lead alloy bird, possibly a raven, possibly from a post medieval tobacco jar dating c.1600-1800AD or a gaming piece. The bird is sitting on an oval base with a groove running around the middle. There is no obvious means by which it could be attached to the lid of a tobacco jar since the base of the object appears to be have been worn smooth. It may therefore have been used as a gaming piece. There are traces of copper on the right wing and right eye of the bird.
