Medieval copper alloy buckle. 35mm in length, 14mm wide and 4mm thick with a weight of 4.43grams.

The object is trapezoidal in form with a rectangular cross section. It consists of a semi -circular short shaft which is plain and incomplete. This runs into a trapezoidal 'loop' starting with a raised collar butting up to a plain rectangular plate. This has a small central hole just beyond the collar and a larger one at the far end which houses a tapering folded pin. At the far end of the 'loop' is a further flat plate which has a slight raised collar next to the loop and then a row of three small circular holes filling it. The objects form suggests a spur buckle?
