A probable cast lead spindle whorl of probable Early Medieval to Medieval date, about AD 700 - 1100.It if of Walton Rogers form A2 with flat faces and different sizes and rounded sides. It is a very small example. It is 13mm in diameter and 5.4mm thick, with a central circular perforation 6.9mm in diameter. It weighs 4.15g. It has a well developed white patina. The central aperture has a diameter of 6.9mm.
