An incomplete copper alloy pin of uncertain date (probably Roman to medieval, c. AD 43 - 1500), consisting of a collared globular head and a small section of shank only. The head has a diameter of 5.3mm and a height of 4.8mm; the collar is 4.6mm wide and c.1mm thick. The shank measures 2.6mm in diameter and the object has a length of 8.4mm and weighs 0.59g. The metal is dark brown in colour and lightly pitted, the break across the shank is old.
