Fragment probably of a drop handle from medieval to post-medieval furniture, a rectangular-sectioned copper alloy bar broken at both ends, with both breaks just beyond a right-angled turn. The turns are set at 180 degrees to each other. Extant length 48mm. Cross-section 7.4 x 6.8-6.5mm. Cross-section beyond turns 6.8 x 6.8mm and 6.5 x 5.5mm. 15th - 16th century.
