Toffee coloured flint with cortex debitage. A thick flake with a tiny striking platform and a large bulb of percussion at one end of its ventral surface. A possible run of short abrupt retouch executed from the dorsal aspect occurs on one part of one side, where the cortex has been trimmed. The finder kindly suggests this may be of Mesolithic or even Palaeolithic date, but the tint of the flint does not appear altered by the passage of the significant period this would require so this reporter would favour a more recent date. Suggested date: Early Bronze Age, 2350-1600 BC.

Length: 43.7mm, Width: 31.4mm, Thickness: 13.2mm, Weight: 18.98gms
