An incomplete post-Medieval lead alloy one-piece button (1500-1700).

The integral looped shank at the back is missing.

The upper face is decorated with a raised six-petalled flower head. Each petal, arranged evenly around a central knop, is roughly diamond shaped. The individual petals and the central knop are surrounded by raised borders. The reverse is plain except for the stubs of the central loop and casting seam, which is still visible as a central line across the button.

This button is corroded and has a grey patina.

Length: 15.3mm; width: 14.8mm; thickness: 5.7mm. Weight: 4.12g.
