Incomplete, worn and corroded medieval buckle, oval frame (18 x 18.5mm), broad oval-sectioned outside edge with three grooves, offset narrowed bar with rectangular-sectioned pin, bent rectangular plate (unbent 43 x 13.4mm) folded widthways and narrowed and shortened on reverse and pierced by remains of a copper alloy rivet, rectangular slot for pin and constricted for frame, attachment-end damaged. Combined length (unbent) 61mm. Cf. Egan and Pritchard, 1991, fig.45, nos.303-4. 13th-14th century.
