An incomplete copper-alloy strap fitting, possibly of late Iron Age to early medieval date (c. 100 BC - 1100). The object is rectangular in form and sub-spherical in cross section and is incomplete. One end has three wedge-shaped, sub-spherical projections, which probably would have formed a loop of which is now missing. The latter forks at the end and terminates in an old break. The object is flat on the front and reverse, with a slight elevation on one side at the forked end. A wide groove runs down the centre of the forked end. This object parallels no. LANCUM-EDDD86.
