A copper alloy thimble of late medieval or early post-medieval date, about AD 1400 - 1600. It is unclear whether the thimble is cast or hammered by deep-drawing. It has angled sides, a fairly flat domed top and drilled circular pits which are arranged in concentric circles. some pits have worn through into holes. There is a very slightly thickened basal rim. The thimble is 17.6mm in diameter and 22.8mm high. It weighs 5g. It has a smooth green patina.
