BUCKLE

A cast copper alloy single D-shaped buckle. The strap bar is narrow and off-set. The D-shaped frame has been decorated with a moulded design resembling ropework. The pin is missing. The reverse is undecorated and flat; with no moulded decoration. It is complete apart from the pin. The metal is a dark greyish-green colour. This buckle probably dates from circa AD 1250 - 1500.
