An almost complete and worn post-Medieval copper-alloy Nuremberg 'Lion of St Mark' jetton issued by Iorg Schultes (Georg Schultes; Iorg Schultheiss), master 1515, died 1559. Struck 1551 or 1553. Mitchiner 1988: 392, ref: 1301.

Obverse: Illegible; Lion of St. Mark standing left, nimbate and winged, holding book of gospels in right fore-paw. The lion's halo is continuous with the inner circle along part of its circumference.

Reverse: (crown) IO[G] SLhVTS [ ]NF (Nuremberg fecit); Imperial orb within a double tressure of three arches, ornament in outer angles.

Diameter: 26.0mm. Weight: 3.00g. DA=12:10.
