A silver voided long cross penny of Henry III (1216 - 1272), Long cross coinage (1247-1272), Class Vb (1250-1256) moneyer Nicole of London, who was moneyer for classes 1b/II - Vc. The royal portrait on this coin is holding a sceptre, and the obverse legend begin at 10 o'clock, which narrows to field to Class V. The eyes are outlined with circles, which is typical of Classes Va and Vb, but not Vc. The X in REX has one sinuous stroke, and the N and R are ligated in hENRICVS and the R has a wedge-shaped tail so the Class is Vb.
