Incomplete copper alloy palstave of Late Middle Bronze Age to Late Bronze date (MBAIII - LBA I) c. 12200-750BC. The axe is very worn and the butt end appears to be broken. Peter Reavill notes the U shaped septum and fused flange and stop ridge.
