Copper alloy vessel fragment. Cast cauldron leg of sub-triangular section with a central longitudinal ridge on its front face, flat behind. The object tapers from a broad flat-based foot whose pointed edges project outwards, to a narrower and unevenly broken upper end. A spot of adhering tarry material on the outer face of the foot is a relict of sooting from use on a hearth. Suggested date: Medieval, 1200-1500.
