An incomplete Neolithic flint flaked axehead (c. 4000 BC-c. 2351 BC).
A transverse break has occurred about half way along its original length.
This implement is now sub-square in plan and is pointed-oval ('lenticular') in cross-section. In plan, the sides flare slightly from the break to the curved cutting edge. The arrises are not very sharp.
The axehead is mottled grey and pale orange with iron staining. The break is old.
