A complete flint Blunted Scraper of Mesolithic date (9000-3450 BC). The object is sub-rectangular in plan and plano-convex in section. The dorsal surface has three predominant negative scars with corresponding arrises. Both the proximal and distal edges have been abruptly blunted and the lithic tapers in slightly towards the distal end. The left and right hand edges have fine, semi-abrupt retouch. The ventral surface is predominantly flat with ripples of percussion emanating from the distal end.
The lithic retains no cortex and is therefore a tertiary flake.
The flint is cream in colour.
