An early early-medieval (Anglo-Saxon, c. 450-550), copper alloy button brooch that has a circular base decorated with four opposing double crescents who's arch points towards the middle creating a central cross pattern with narrowed arms a large rectangular hub. This is surrounded by an upturned rim. Gilding still remains in the recesses of the decoration.
