Small copper alloy Medieval casket key. Circular perforated bow with a solid oval cross-section stem. The bit is flat and sub-rectangular and springs perpendicularly at the end of the stem. The bit consists of two opposing horizontal wards halfway down either side. The stem terminates slightly beyond the bit in a narrowed projecting tip. Circa AD1250-1350. A similar key is recorded as LIN-ECBE74 on this database.
