Three copper-alloy medieval mounts, dating to the period c. AD 1150-1450.
1. An incomplete simple bar-mount with a D-shaped section. Two holes for separate rivets, one at each end of the bar but rivets are missing. Similar to Egan and Pritchard, Dress Accessories, page 211-2, no. 1138. Length 4.43 mm, width 17.45 mm, thickness 1.64 mm, weight 0.75g. Dates to the period c. AD 1270-1450
2. A bar mount with terminal and central lobes. Five horizontal grooves decorate the central lobe. Rivets still present, with one in the centre of each terminal lobe. Similar to no. 705d on pages 123 &126 of Griffiths, Philpott and Egan. 2007. MEOLS, The Archaeology of the North Wirral Coast. Length 9.14mm, width 17.32mm, thickness (not including rivets) 3.82mm, weight 1.85g. Dates to the period c. AD 1150-1450
3. An incomplete domed sexfoil mount with one rivet hole in two opposite lobes, rivets are missing. Cast and trimmed to shape. Diameter 20.68mm, thickness 0.52mm, height 5.72mm, weight 0.91g. Similar to no. 959 in Egan and Pritchard, Dress Accessories, page 187 &189. Dates to c. AD 1270-1450
