Object type certainty: Certain

Silver coin. The flan of a hammered coin worn entirely smooth on both sides. Paired parallel lines might hint at this having been folded as a keepsake and subsequently flattened, the former being an oft-reported adaptation of the sixpence of William III (1693-1702). However, the flan is a little small for this identification to be sustained. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1500-1700

Diameter: 18.6mm, Weight: 1.40gms
