A sherd of a ceramic Vessel sherd of Medieval date (AD 1200 -1500). The object is a handle fragment and is composed of a hard gritty sparse calcite and frequent silica inclusions. The inner portion of the fabric is a dark orange red in colour while the outer fabric is a light cream / buff in colour. The handle is ovate in cross-section. The outer surface of the sherd is decorated with a raised longitudinally running rib.
