Silver medieval hammered penny of Edward I or II, dating to 1300 - 1310 AD. Blunt 4c, mint of Berwick-upon-Tweed. Obverse of forward-facing bust with bifoliate crown; EDWA R ANGL DNS hYB. Slightly counter-struck reverse of long-cross pattee with three pellets in corners; VILL/A B[E]/REV/VICI. The coin is 17.93mm in diameter, 0.80mm in thickness and weighs 1.13g.
