Part of a medieval to post-medieval copper alloy double-hooked dress clasp, comprising a sheet strip that tapers from the mid point and ends in sharp hooks. Central rivet for the missing plate. See clasps with lozengiform or rectangular plates in Read 2008, early post-medieval Class S, Type 1. Length of strip 50.5mm, width of strip in centre 9.5mm. 1.5mm thick. c.1450 - c.1550.
