Lead possible weight. Cast weight of trapezoid form, cast in an open mould, and with a narrow slit in its top perhaps indicating that an object was inserted to help extract it. The metal retains a grey tint which points to its recent date. The mass may suggests this to have represented a [slightly overweight] half averdepois ounce. It was presumably home made for private use. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1800-1900.
