A Roman ceramic Samian ware base sherd, probably dating to c. AD 43-250. Of a red-pink oxidised fine grained fabric, with a red brown slip. The fabric is slightly micaeous and contains frequent small chalk flecks. Probably central gaulish. Probably from a bowl with a projecting foot ring. Weight: 10.51g.
