An incomplete cast copper-alloy bracelet dating to the Roman period (c. AD 43-410). The bracelet comprises a convexly bent plate that is rectangular in plan and cross-section. The upper surface is decorated with a series of linear grooves extending its length, arranged as a wide groove in-between two narrower grooves. A linear series of small circular impressions extends down the centre of the wide groove. One of the bracelet's terminals has a short groove capping this arrangement. A thin plain boarder extends down one edge of the bracelet to one side of the grooves. The other wider boarder along the opposite edge is decorated with a series of pelta-shaped recessions - possibly resembling leaves - with the occasional small circular stamp in-between. The underside of the bracelet is undecorated. The entire object is bent unevenly in several places and has a patchy dark green patina. It measures 25mm in length, 8.7mm in width, 1.8mm in thickness and weighs 3.1 grams.
