A complete lead alloy weight or gaming piece of uncertain dating. The weight is disc shaped, with flat faces and rounded sides. There is an incised line across one side just offset from centre. The other side face very faint lettering around the outside edge, too worn to be legible except for a possible X. The metal is worn and creamy brown in colour. The weight is 27 mm in diameter and 2 mm thick. It weighs 12.83g. The dating of lead objects of this general type is problematic, and their use is invariably uncertain. This function is not certain however and the object may have served another purpose.
