An incomplete enamelled copper alloy hook-mount from an Early Medieval hanging bowl. The mount has an incomplete oval body, which is slightly dome, and is broken at the lower tip. The body of the escutcheon is decorated with a conjoined pair of swirls in reserve metal set on a recessed and enamelled background. The enamel is brown in colour but may originally have been red. Further motifs in reserve metal are seen below the swirls. but these are too worn to describe.
A sub-oval boss is located at the top of the mount, and the remains of a hook extends a very short way at the top. The centre of the boss has a recessed crescentic cell filled with degraded enamel. The enamel is now brown in colour but may originally have been red.
