A body fragment from a possible Glastonbury Ware vessel. The fabric is a dark grey-black in colour, and slightly soapy in texture, with large and abundant limestone inclusions including large amounts of fossil shell which are very reflective. It is undiagnostic in terms of vessel form, although its slightly open profile may be suggestive of a bowl. The fabric is nonetheless highly suggestive of Iron Age date. No trace of the typical Glastonbury Ware incised decoration is seen on this fragment.
The fragment is 16.53mm high and 20.1mm wide. It is 6.3mm thick and weighs 2.7g.
