A complete copper-alloy die, probably of Medieval date. The die is cuboid in shape, with six sides and rounded corners. The numerical pits have been drilled into each surface. The metal has an even green patina and is slightly worn.

This die is not regular (ie, the opposing faces do not add up to 7) and the opposing faces are respectively 1 and 3, 2 and 4, 5 and 6 (variant 8 in Egan 1997, FRG Datasheet 23). Such irregular dice are most common from the late medieval period; from 1550 the majority became regular. Dice are also known from the Roman period, however the crispness of the corners and lack of corrosion suggest that this example is more recent.
