Roman copper alloy trumpet brooch that has an oval head plate. On the reverse is a single pierced lug that holds the spring which is now truncated. The bow emanates from the front of the head plate with a moulded knee below at the apex of the bow, the lower leg is heavily corroded resulting in the loss of the foot and catch plate. Date 75-175AD
