A complete knapped flint arrowhead dating to the later Neolithic, c. 3300-2400 BC. It is broadly triangular in plan, one edge straight and the other slightly angled, converging to its point (now missing). At the base of the arrowhead is a rather stubby tang, slightly damaged where it connects with the straight edge of the arrowhead. On the opposite side of the tang, a shallow curving notch is visible. Manufactured on a tertiary flake of bluish white patinated flint, the straight edge demonstrates directly applied pressure flaked long removals extending up its entire edge, the angled edge bifacially worked in the same manner-though the removals are more invasive. Preserved in rather fresh condition with little patination beyond discolouration, it measures 32.9mm in length, 17.94mm wide at its widest point, 14.25mm wide by 2.76mm thick at its midpoint, and weighs 1.81g.
A similar oblique arrowhead is published by Butler (2005), see p. 159, no. fig. 66, no. 10.
