A cast copper alloy unidentified object, perhaps a stud or mount, maybe a harness or furniture stud of Medieval to post-medieval date, about AD 1200 - 1950. The object is 12.5mm long, 8.6mm wide and 7.5mm thick. It weighs 3.07g. It is a decorative terminal from a fixture or fitting of unknown nature. The shape of the terminal is of a frustum, or truncated pyramid, with four convex faces; its apex is slightly rounded. The integral rivet, projecting from the base, is of sub-rectangular cross-section and is broken after only a short length. The object may be an upholstery stud. Originally thought to be Post Medieval, the similarity to WAW-0A38B8 which is the same shape and also gilded, may allow a Medieval date as a possibility.
