An incomplete copper-alloy Roman brooch of the Trumpet Type, dating to the period AD 75-250. The head consists of an oval cross-sectioned spring case, which is open at the back and at the bottom; at the sides there are two pierced end-caps, which house the axis-bar. The spring mechanism is still in place, with the chord passing below the coils; the pin is slightly bent inwards in its middle part. The top edge of the head has a protruding transverse bar from which extends a circular chain loop. The bow has a slighlty faceted D-shaped cross-section and it bears an enamelled disc at the front; the edges of the disc have four symmetrical knops. The front of the disc is decorated with two concentric bands inlaid with white and blue enamel, being the blue band the inner one. The foot has a cup type terminal, which lacks of the front face. Where the foot meets the cup terminal there is a double transverse ridge; at the back of the foot there is a sub-trapezoidal catch-plate with a sideways bent rear edge. The edge of the disc bears traces of silvering.

Length: 57.74 mm. Width of the head: 14.86 mm. Diameter of the disc: 16.05 mm. Thickness of the disc: 4.63 mm. Weight: 15.85 g.

A close parallel in Mackreth 2011 (88, pl. 85, no. 5435) is allocated by him to type 3.1a. Another can be found in Hattatt (1985, p. 115, fig.47, no. 452; also Hattatt 2007, 329, fig. 188, no. 452).
