A copper-alloy Jetton of Medieval or Post-Medieval date. Obverse shows an unclear shield. Obverse legend is mostly illegible but is probably fictitious: [...]E[...]V[...]. A rose with central pellet sits within the legend at the left hand corner of the shield. The reverse shows an unclear tressure, probably containing an imperial orb surmounted by a cross. This would make it an Anonymous Nuremberg stock Jetton dating c.AD 1500-1525 (Mitchiner, M. 1988 pp.355-358, nos.897, 992-997). This would mean that the die axis is 8 o'clock. Alternatively the tressure may possibly contain an unclear curve based shield. This would make it a Nuremberg, Mainz, Bavaria type Jetton of Frederick III, dating to AD 1440-1493 (Mitchiner, M. 1988 pp.336-337, nos.992-996). This would mean that the die axis is more likely to be 7 o'clock. The reverse legend is mostly illegible reading: [...]ONE[...]. A rose with central pellet is possibly present after the 'ONE'.
Weigh is 1.22g, diameter is 26.2mm, thickness is 0.5mm.
