A complete copper alloy annular brooch dating to the Medieval period (c. AD 1200-1400). The brooch is circular in plan and asymmetrical in cross-section. There is a restriction in the frame for the pin, which is present and complete. The frame of the brooch is divided into eight distinct sections: four smaller ridges defined by inscised lines on either side positioned at 2, 4, 8 and 10 o'clock. Between these smaller sections are four wider sections decorated with radiating ridges. The resitriction for the pin is set within one of the wider sections. The reverse of the brooch is undecorated. The object has a mid green patina.
Similar styles of brooch can be seen in Hattatt no. 1710 (1989: 382), and Read no. 801 (2001:110).
