A lead spindle whorl of biconical shape, cast with a hole of approximately 9mm diameter at the centre. The two sides differ in level of corrosion; the less corroded side features the recognisable spindle whorl patternation of raised pellets situated within negative spaces delineated by raised radial ridges. The opposite side is degraded but may feature petalloid designs.
As the whorl is made of lead, this indicates a roughly medieval to post-medieval date. It is very difficult to apply a more exact date though due to a lack of a more complete diagnostic.
