Lead possible cloth seal. A pair of discs of slightly different sizes cur from thin [0.8mm] lead sheet, linked by a strip or sprue, and with paired U-shaped lugs projecting from the larger disc and passing through the other, being splayed on its far side. Patinated. Stamped numerals in modern style read: 8261 or 1938; they appear on one side of the larger disc. The latter reading might indicate a modern object made in the style of a cloth seal. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1650-1750.
